Prishtina vs Ferencavaros

Stadiumi Fadil Vokrri is the venue as Ferencavaros look to complete the work and advance to the next Champions League qualifying round following a 3-0 thumping of Prishtina in the first leg.

Prishtina’s Champions League journey began with a comfortable 2-0 away win over Sanmarinese side Folgore in the preliminary semi-finals as they went on to beat Andorran outfit Inter Escaldes by the same scoreline in the final. However, overcoming highly-rated Ferencavaros seems to be a tall order, though four wins from their last five competitive home matches give the hosts some hope heading into this showdown (L1). Another noteworthy takeaway from Prishtina’s recent competitive home fixtures is that they’ve netted over 1.5 goals in six consecutive home games ahead of the kick-off. Quick out of the blocks, the ‘Clods’ have netted precisely two first-half goals in three of their last five competitive outings on home soil. However, just two clean sheets from their previous six home games remain a reason for concern.

Meanwhile, the visitors have continued to build on an eye-catching warm-up campaign that saw them win all five friendly matches by an aggregate score of 11-1 as they take the field on the run of nine straight victories. Ferencavaros embarked on that run in late April following a goalless away draw with domestic rivals Kisvarda, notably scoring 2+ goals in all but one of those nine games. Moreover, the ‘Green Eagles’ haven’t lost any of their 11 away matches in all competitions since the calendar flipped to 2021 (W6, D5), netting over 1.5 goals in 81.82% of them. With that said, Peter Stoger’s men have failed to find the net before half-time in four of their last five competitive road trips.
