Seeking their elusive first Champions League victory at the Gewiss Stadium (D2, L2), ‘La Dea’ will be looking to build on another 2-2 draw with Villarreal in their Group F opener. Interestingly, that stalemate initiated an eventful period that saw three of Atalanta’s four competitive fixtures witness both sides score in the first half. Though they’ve lost two of their last three Champions League home games (D1, L2), Atalanta can draw confidence from losing as many European outings on home turf in their previous 22 contests beforehand (W12, D8). It’s worth noting that none of Young Boys’ previous eight European meetings with Italian opposition have ended as a draw (W4, L4).
